'08 Ford Mustang

The new 2008 Ford Mustang comes in three great new models.

The Shelby GT is a new Vista Blue color with a silver stripe and comes in the traditional body styles of coupe and convertible. The Shelby GT has a 4.6 liter V8 engine that is stocked with Ford Racing Performance Engine Parts. It generates a whopping 319 horsepower.

The Shelby GT500KR is Ford’s 40^th Anniversary Edition of the original King of the Road Mustang. This Mustang is the most powerful one Ford has ever put into production. The 5.4 liter supercharged V8 is capable of generating 540 horsepower. The Ford Racing Power Upgrade Pack includes short throw shifter, unique suspension tuning, and a 3.73:1 rear axle ratio. The exterior features a carbon composite hood, 18 inch alloy wheels, and a 40^th anniversary badge along with special striping.

The 2008 Ford Mustang limited edition “Warriors in Pink” has been designed in support of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure 25^th Anniversary. In the classic pink of the ribbons worn by breast cancer survivors, sales of this special edition will go towards the search for a cure for breast cancer. The vehicle stands out with its special pink interior and exterior accents.

The engine used in the 2008 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Cobra is a massive 5.4L V-8 Double-Over-Head-Cam engine featuring four-valves per cylinder for a total of 32 valves in all. The power plant beneath the hood produces 500HP and 480FTLB of torque via the Supercharger. Power is routed to the rear-wheels via a stock 6-speed manual transmission sitting on 107” wheel-base tires.

The Shelby Mustang attains an EPA-estimated 14mpg around the city and 20mpg on the highway making this one of the most powerful yet efficient Mustangs ever built.
